Somewhere in the 4th grade, I developed a passion for reading. I read everything in a row. Of course, fiction most of all.
What do I want to get you to?
I am publishing 3 stories on this site.
The first 2 can be called retellings.
1. «Fire – Any Price»
2. «After First Sex»
These are real presentations, as in school lessons in the native language. The ideas are taken from some books that I’ve read. Many years have passed since then, so I don’t remember the authors of these books, nor the titles of these works, and I very vaguely remember the plots of these books. It’s just that some episodes from these books are imprinted in my memory. And I decided to translate them into the epistolary genre in order to publish them. That’s why I called them retellings. There is nothing of my own here. I tried to give all the examples, all the details and other particulars exactly as they were imprinted in my memory.
Story No. 3 (“The Tao of the Wise Bee”) is based on my childhood observations. It happened during the summer holidays. If we again draw an analogy with lessons in the native language, then an essay on «How I spent the summer» is more suitable here.
I was in Leninskiye Gorki (Ленинские Горки) in the fall of 2021. There is a beautiful, well-kept park there. Walking along the paths of this park, I came across a sign «THE WAY OF THE BEE». (ПУТЬ ПЧЕЛЫ)
At first I thought that most likely on the estate there was an apiary and a garden with fruit crops, and somewhere between them there was this sign. But in fact it was an «ecological trail» for walking.
Anyway, it reminded me of something very familiar from my childhood. And I had the idea to translate my childhood memories into a text format. That’s how this «composition» was born.
Now, perhaps, the most important thing in my preliminary explanations.
After all, these episodes from the books were imprinted in my memory for many years for a reason. I didn’t remember the plots of the books themselves, but I remembered individual episodes. It seems to me that in these very episodes I saw answers to some questions that worried me at that time, at one age or another.
The first one is about John. I was in 7th or 8th grade. And it seemed to me that an excellent universal way to solve ALL the problems in everyone’s life is described here. Over the years, I have come to understand that there are problems that people are powerless to overcome. And there are indeed many such problems. But the principle described in this story is very effective and efficient. And, in my opinion, it is suitable for solving most problems in human life.
The second one is about the first sex. I’m probably already in 10th grade. Hormones began to «boil» in the blood more and more, and the soul is overflowing with romantic feelings. I am interested in absolutely everything that concerns the opposite sex. And in this story I saw the author’s view of sex from a slightly unusual angle. If I may say so, one of the many facets of the relationship between a man and a woman.
The third one is about the wise bee. Summer holidays, I moved to the 3rd grade.
I am already beginning to understand something in life. It is obvious to me that the «SMARTER» a person is, the «BETTER» his life is. But that day, watching the bees, I realized that in real life, not everything is as simple as it seems.
